Eastside Kings Blues Festival preserves and promotes the cultural heritage of largely unknown African American musicians who are often little known but all are skilled, seasoned artists helping to keep a tradition alive.
The festival takes place in the neighborhood venues along the 12th street corridor in Austin TX. During the post-war era these venues were a hotbed of blues and R&B. The Eastside Kings Festival brings back this unique tradition of blues, jazz and gospel music with artists performing in each venue along this street all with in two nights.
