EastWestYoga is the home of Gerry Chambers and Lynda Purvis, Iyengar Yoga teachers. Gerry is based in Exeter in Devon and Lynda is currently living in Aotearoa/New Zealand.
We teach yoga in the tradition of BKS Iyengar , a modern yoga master, author of Light on Yoga and many other texts, and the world’s most renowned teacher of the art, science and philosophy of this ancient subject.
Yogacharya BKS Iyengar was born in Bellur, in Karnataka, India on 14 December 1918 and died in Pune on 20 August 2014.
