Edward Fairstein, 82, of Oak Ridge, died Sunday, September 18, 2005 at Methodist Medical Center. Born December 14, 1922 in Brooklyn, New York, he was the oldest son of Sydney Samuel Fairstein and Katherine Bader Fairstein. Ed graduated from the City College of New York with a degree in Electrical Engineering. After college, Ed and traveled to Oak Ridge to work in the Manhattan Project’s Clinton Engineering District.
