Edinburgh Police Choir (also known as EPC) is a high quality, hard working and friendly contemporary choir, based in the west of Edinburgh. The choir was established in 2008 by members of Lothian and Borders Police, but has since developed into a true community choir. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO WORK FOR THE POLICE TO JOIN THE CHOIR. The choir regularly performs in Edinburgh and beyond at a wide range of events, including charity concerts, corporate functions, community fetes and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe on the
Since the onset of the COVID 19 pandemic and the associated restrictions on group activities the choir has continued to have weekly rehearsals via Zoom and has been involved in a number of virtual choir projects, When guidelines and safety advice have allowed there have also been some scaled back outdoor rehearsals in members' gardens and the grounds of the Norton House Hotel. The choir has resumed indoor rehearsals in accordance with the latest government advice and guidance.
Edinburgh Police Choir rehearsals take place every Sunday evening, from 7pm until 9pm, at Craigsbank Church in the west of Edinburgh. Visitors and potential new members are always welcome to come along to see what we do and hear how we sound.
