The 19th Annual Elder Concert is a one-day statewide gathering of the growing network of elder care professionals in Florida. Who Attends Elder Concert? accountants, facility administrators, attorneys, government agencies, financial planners, geriatric care managers, professional guardians, judges, social workers, and other elder care professionals and organizations.
In 1998, still early in the field of Elder Law, the Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys recognized that its members could not do their job without working with other elder care disciplines. The next year, a meeting was held in Boca Raton with leaders of statewide elder care organizations. All were in agreement – Florida’s elderly have diverse but interrelated needs and each organization has its own instruments but none could play in isolation. A statewide gathering was therefore needed and Elder Concert
The Elder Concert is managed by its founder, Scott Solkoff , and his firm, Solkoff Legal, P.A . All profits from Elder Concert go to the Public Policy Task Force advocacy fund established by AFELA and The Florida Bar’s Elder Law Section .
