Viral hepatitis (hepatitis A, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C) are among the most prevalent and deadly infections in the U.S. They are also preventable and curable with proper interventions. Eliminating these public health burdens in the U.S. by 2030 is an attainable goal, but only if all states implement comprehensive strategies to improve prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
Hep ElimiNATION, a National Evaluation of States’ Capacity for Viral Hepatitis Elimination, is an advocacy tool to bring awareness to policymakers, public health agencies, and communities about a broad range of key considerations for elimination.
The partnership will serve as a guide for all 50 states, Washington, DC, and Puerto Rico to develop comprehensive viral hepatitis elimination strategies.
