A trained pianist, singer, and performer, Ellen Atwood turned her life and her classical music background upside down in 2019, moving from rural Virginia to Bremen, Germany where she began writing songs. She writes to deepen the connection with herself and others. Her songs are written in the sweet spot between pain and inspiration - “sad girl” bedroom acoustic sound with an electronic undertone.
