Embodiment in Education trainings are for all those inspired to usher in a new generation of embodied youth. Programs are designed for professionals who work with teens and young adults: middle and high school teachers, college faculty, movement educators, leadership trainers, dance educators, physical educators, yoga teachers, mindfulness and social-emotional learning specialists, and physical / occupational therapists.
The curriculum offered empowers students through the development of kinesthetic intelligence, mindful awareness, and ecological consciousness that supports individual and community growth. Students learn the basics of anatomy and physiology, and unlearn self-defeating habits that impact body image and self-esteem. These basic embodiment practices also establish the foundation for further skill development in sports, dance, and leisure activities–and lifelong well-being.
By examining their cultural perceptions, students also discover their body prejudices, helping them to both respect diversity and gain compassion for themselves and others. This unique, cross-curricular model integrates science, mindfulness, somatic practices, arts, and social and emotional learning.
