Emily Sun is a writer, editor, and researcher who has been published in various national and international anthologies and journals including Meanjin, Cordite Poetry Review, Australian Poetry Journal , Mascara Literary Journal, and Growing up Asian in Australia . In 2018 and 2019, she was awarded runner-up in the national Deborah Cass Writing Prize, the recipient of fellowships at KSP and Centre for Stories, and took part in Fremantle Press’ Emerging Writers Pilot Program on the strength of her creative
Emily’s research interests include Bourdesian theory, ludic game inquiry, “ethnic author function”, translanguaging, creative teaching, how AI can be used in classrooms to enhance student learning experiences, and the intersection of neuro-diversity and creativity. She is currently a PhD candidate at UWA and the co-editor/publisher of the forthcoming poetry anthology Hello Keanu! (2024)
