In the period from 1938 – 1952, San Anselmo artist Ernest Clayton painted a collection of watercolor studies of California wildflowers, primarily from Marin County. Most of the Clayton wildflower studies were purchased by the San Francisco Library prior to his death.
Ernest Clayton was our grandfather. In order to make his beautiful art more available to the public, we started Ernest Clayton Wildflower Images (ECWI).
