Students from all over the United States come to Purdue to compete in this prestigious and innovative electric karting championship. Participants build their own karts, tune the powertrain and chassis dynamics, and then put them to the test in an exciting race that displays their ingenuity and knowledge of electric vehicles.
In addition to the race, teams compete in an academic challenge to win the overall series championship. High School teams create a STEM report, an Outreach video, and participate in Test & Tune events. Collegiate teams develop a Design Report and compete on the energy efficiency of their vehicles. All together, evGrand Prix provides a complete learning experience that develops essential professional skills that will launch students to the next phase of their careers.
