The Foursquare Gospel Church Amasaman was inaugurated on the 21st of February and Pastor Ernest Victor Asiako Aikins of the Abeka Church was transferred to head the Church at Amasaman. Pastor Aikins has pastored the Abeka Church for Over Fifteen years when he was upon the request of the then General Overseer asked to go and start the Amasaman Church.
Members who were staying in the Amasaman and its environs were encouraged to join the church. Being started in an area where some members of various church branch were located, it would not be long before the church assumed a healthy status. As the head pastor came from the Buiashie branch, the women group the FWI (Foursquare Women International) from the district made a solidarity visit to encourage the church which had been started in very humble beginnings.
