“The variety of subject matters represented in my work reflects an on-going drive to explore and develop as an Artist, although I am perhaps best known for my still life pieces. Many resonate emotive responses, which reveal deep connections to a particular subject; the fundamentals of expressive drawing and considered use of colour being central to their execution.
Pastel gives me the freedom and flexibility to approach each subject in a particular way; to translate energy, thought and emotion into something visual. My recent work has become more focused upon telling the stories of others through the depiction of still life compositions, of sharing common themes of community and friendship.”
