Description: The Florida Lions Eye Clinic offers underserved clients in the SWFL community onsite screenings, clinical care, quality eye care services and medical treatments free of charge. Over 5,000 patients and over 300 eye surgeries were conducted at the Clinic and hundreds were referred to outside surgery centers. Volunteer doctors—ophthalmologists and optometrists—throughout southwest Florida provided medical care, prescription drugs, and eyeglasses amounting to nearly $800,000 in free services.
