Tires are an important part of your vehicle and you depend on them for exciting road trips and everyday commutes. Whether you hit a nail or puncture the tire with a screw during construction or drive over something sharp, it is always best to have the hole repaired as soon as possible. This will prevent the air from leaking out and keep you safe on the road.
There are some holes in tires that cannot be plugged with a patch, however. This is because these areas undergo significant stress when driving. The sidewall is especially vulnerable because it gets pinched between the wheel rim and the road. If you notice a bulge or bubble on the sidewall of your tire, this is an indication of severe damage and the tire should be replaced.
