about Help Us Empower Our Heroes How it all started In 2003 David D. Haddad founded Friends of Freedom (FOF) from a simple premise, to serve those who protect our freedoms. His Flagship program, Freedom/Sticks for Soldiers has delivered over 750,000 cigars into war zones in Iraq and Afghanistan. Later, Friends of Freedom began to assist our military and veterans locally by assisting them with rent, utilities, car repairs, military transition and more.
