Marcus Singleton is a veteran of the construction industry. Starting his career in residential framing, he learned the fundamentals of construction, but he also saw how unsafe work practices and complacency in a small business can lead to serious safety incidents.
Marcus later moved to the commercial glazing industry, earning his Journeyman certification and specializing in curtain wall and architectural panels on high rise buildings. It was here that Marcus developed a passion for construction safety.
He joined the safety department as a field safety rep. in 2018 and quickly rose to the position of safety manager, earning the CHST certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals and the CSMC from the National Association of Safety Professionals. Marcus continues to manage the safety program for a major glazing contractor in the Salt Lake area, and provides training to the general public and other construction companies in his spare time.
