From college, where my passion for dentistry began, I earned degrees in Biology from Texas A&M University and a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Baylor College of Dentistry. In 1987, I founded my own dental practice and quickly realized the importance of a well-trained staff in delivering quality dental care efficiently. This experience led me to embrace lifelong learning and get involved in organized dentistry, where I achieved recognition as the 2018 Texas Dentist of the Year.
In 2017, I assumed the role of President of the Texas Dental Association and presided over the International College of Dentists – Texas Section. Simultaneously, I joined Baylor College of Dentistry’s adjunct faculty in 1992, providing off-site dental experience to senior dental students and received the Preceptor of the Year Award in 2022.
