Join us on Saturday, July 8, at 9:30am for the Grand Opening of the Vivian J. Lincoln Library and Dedication of ‘Fabled,’ a public art project by Area C Projects that draws upon the library’s role as a teller of stories and stories as creators of place. The new library is located at 8829 McCart Avenue, 76123.
The Fort Worth Art Commission will consider approval of the design and text for interpretive plaques for the Will Rogers Memorial Center Historic Tile Murals on Monday, July 17, 2023, at 5:00 pm at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center , 1300 Gendy Street, 76107 (in-person only). The meeting agenda, including revised plaque text, will be posted by Thursday, July 13th.
On March 30, 2023, the City Council-appointed 1300 Gendy Task Force held a public hearing on the future of the Fort Worth Community Arts Center building. The task force presented its recommendations to City Council on June 6, 2023.
