We spent a week in Disney World right after it reopened and in many ways it felt like a trip from 20 years ago. There were no FastPasses, no separate ticketed events, no Extra Magic Hours, and no park hopping. The park schedule was straightforward with each park being open for 10 hours and staggered opening/closing hours among the four parks.
We spent more time in our resort room before the parks opened and after they closed. We didn’t feel like we had to be at the park for “rope drop” to be able to get on the most popular rides. We weren’t zig-zagging across the parks based on FastPasses or wait times. Instead, we made a loop around the park, doing all the rides in each land before moving on to the next one.
