Without the life of God’s Spirit in our relationships, our work, and our faith, we are left gasping for breath; driven by chaos; unengaged in our world. But a living, breathing, active relationship with the Holy Spirit, the Giver of breath, is attainable, and is the essence of a life that is fully engaged and finishes well.
In the beginning we walked with God in the cool of the day and the breathing was easy. But we forgot how to breathe and have been gasping for breath ever since. The good news is that we can learn to breathe again.
