General Schallplatten was founded in 2005 by Stefan Schmidt to release the second album of THE RAZORBLADES “The Dark Side Of The Beach”. Back then no record label offered a reasonable deal and so the band decided to take things in their own hands and do everything on their own. General Schallplatten was born and has since then released several albums on CD and vinyl from the artists THE RAZORBLADES , THE INCREDIBLE MR.SMITH and VAN CANTO .

Stefan left THE RAZORBLADES in 2007 to focus on his career as a metal singer, guitar player and producer. Learn more about him on his personal website . Since then General Schallplatten is run by his brother Martin Schmidt, who is the mastermind behind THE RAZORBLADES and THE INCREDIBLE MR.SMITH .
