General Magic was formed in 2002 by Tim Helstrip prior to graduating with a Doctorate in business strategy (D.Phil). This qualification built on more than 20 years of global experience with companies including Cap Gemini and Marconi Plc. Tim has also been involved in his own successful start-ups, as well as working with organisations of all sizes, including as a non-executive director on boards of Venture Capital backed companies.
