A colleague of mine wisely pointed out that the grand movement against Putin and Russia’s invasion is saturated with a Putin-like demand for consensus and conformity. Those promoting personal flack are especially guilty of being a kind of psychological warrior front line worker for gross militarism, rudeness and pride in one’s ignorance and indulgence in elite thinking. On the other hand, one of the biggest barriers to ending the war is Russian authoritarianism that attacks Russian peace protesters. #Defund
