This website is all about "G raf Compounder 4.0," an A rtificial I ntelligence ( AI ) based PC-program. It allows the prediction of formulas & properties of rubber compounds using a compound database. But this tool is not only for rubber compounds! Of course it can handle TPE, Thermoplastic, Polyurethane or any other compounds as long as the formulas are normalized on their polymer.
The uniqueness of this tool lies in its ability to calculate and thus predict a compound formula with its properties. For the prediction, criteria can be used by free choice or according to a specification under a single condition: The criteria must be within the minimum and maximum values of the ingredients & properties in the recipe data collection. The data collection itself is subject to very few restrictions (See FAQs for more details).
Working successfully with statistic experimental design in rubber compounding and processing, I found it difficult to accept that compounds stored away in databases could be used neither in further compound development / optimization nor for a quick evaluation of options like a response to a customer request for example.
