President Peter Hanson presents cheques to teh club's chosen charities for his year in office. Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Overgate Hospice each received £1,600.00 from the total of £3,200.00 raised during the year.
Numerous charity fund raising social events took place throughout the year including an Easter Chocolate Raffle, Bowling and Barbecue event, Gintopia Gin Festival, Pig Race, Coffee,cake and crafts event and a Ladies Lunch. The President said he was delighted by the support and generosity of Greenroyd members, their families and friends which has helped two worthy charities.
There are numerous social events throughout the year, including an Annual Dinner Dance, raffles and club dinners, all intended as primarily social events but also raising funds for improvement to the club house.
