Hello. I’m Haneul Yoo, a Ph.D. candidate advised by Professor Alice Oh at Users & Information Lab , School of Computing , KAIST . I am currently working at Naver AI Lab as language research intern. Previously, I have interned at Upstage , KEPCO Research Institute , and CSIRO . I am also serving as a lecturer at Boostcamp AI Tech supported by Naver Connect Foundation.
As a researcher in machine learning (ML) and natural language processing (NLP), my ultimate goal is to bridge the gap of communication among different cultures and languages with the help of large language models (LLMs). I have worked on boosting communications of non-native speakers by 1) enhancing the performances of multilingual LLMs, especially in low-resource languages, through the release of datasets and benchmarks and 2) assisting their language learning through LLM-driven education innovation.
