Hartford Area Humanists is a community for humanists, atheists, agnostic, freethinkers, skeptics and others in the area around Greater Hartford, Connecticut. We are a chapter of the American Humanist Association and a member of the Connecticut Coalition of Reason . We enjoy close ties with the local chapter of American Atheists , Connecticut Valley Atheists , as well as humanist discussion groups based at Unitarian-Universalist societies around Hartfo

Hartford Area Humanists began as a series of dinner meetings organized by the Humanist Association of Connecticut before launching itself as a separate organization in April, 2013.
