After more than 60 years of serving the Hawley and surrounding communities, we have decided to disband. We encourage you to direct your charitable giving to the specific charities of your choice. Many of the foundations/organizations below have "donate" buttons on their websites. We would like to extend a special thank you to all the volunteers that have been a part of the Hawley Area United Fund over the years.
ABOUT HAUF On March 20th, 1962, a small group of Hawley residents held a meeting to create an organization. That organization was called the “Hawley Area United Fund,” a group that is still active to this day. That first year, $5,300 was collected and dispersed to various charities in the area. Over the course of the next few decades, the generosity of Hawley area residents would continue to grow. We now collect over $20,000 to disperse while keeping administrative costs such as supplies and postage at a ba
