Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas (BCBSKS) and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC), who together have more than 160 years delivering health insurance solutions in Kansas, have partnered with Anthem Partnership Holding Company, LLC (APHC), which has 30 years of experience serving Medicaid enrollees across the U.S. through its parent and affiliated companies to create Healthy Blue — a partnership designed specifically to offer a trusted local Medicaid solution in 2024.
Healthy Blue will submit a bid for a new Medicaid contract when the request for proposal (RFP) is released in 2023.
Our Approach Healthy Blue combines BCBSKS and Blue KC’s deep expertise on local needs, solutions and community support with APHC's best-in-class Medicaid managed care capabilities. The alliance partners forming Healthy Blue also have a long history of investing in the communities they serve, delivering whole-person health and bringing trusted local solutions in partnership with community-based organizations.
