2023 Steam Rally & Country Fair, Saturday 1st – Sunday 2nd July
What a week-end that was!! The weather gods were kind, not too hot and not too cold, and the rain stayed away from Heddington for our 2023 Steam Rally & Country Fair. The event was visited by upwards of 7500 members of the public who were able to see over 450 exhibits – steam engines large and small, classic cars, vintage motorcycles, stationary engines, vintage and modern tractors, commercial and military vehicles, and various others. The Beer Tent and the various catering outlets both in the Food Village and elsewhere on-site did a roaring trade. But the highlight of the show for many was the fly-past of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight’s Lancaster bomber on both Saturday and Sunday – the sight and sound of this majestic World War II veteran as it banked around the hills and circled the Rally Field will live long in the memory of all who saw it.
