Description: OSSTF/FEESO, founded in 1919, has 60,000 members across Ontario. They include public high school teachers, occasional teachers, educational assistants, continuing education teachers and instructors, early childhood educators, psychologists, secretaries, speech-language pathologists, social workers, plant support personnel, university support staff, and many others in education.
For the past three years, teachers and education workers have been there for our students when they’ve needed them most. Now we need our government to do the same.
As we transition to a world in which COVID-19 causes less disruption in our schools, our students deserve a return to normalcy and a return to a public education system that fully supports their future growth and development.
The supports, services, and staff that students depend on cannot be viewed as cost-cutting items on a budget line! After two years of learning in a global pandemic, students need our help, and it is time to give them the stability they deserve.
