Hervey Bay put on a beautiful day to commemorate the deeds and sacrifices of animals in war on Friday 24 February. Hervey Bay RSL Sub-Branch President Brian Tidyman led the service which included a prayer from Reverend Jeff Jarvis and wreath laying at the Light Horse War Memorial in Freedom Park. A special mention goes to the Maryborough Correctional Centre, RAAF Police Dog Unit, the WBB QMI 5LHR Hervey Bay Troop Inc and Stable Minds Equine Assisted Therapy for bringing their charges and participating in
President Brian Tidyman of the Hervey Bay RSL Sub-Branch hosted the annual “Thank You Luncheon” for all the volunteers who assist the Sub-Branch. Brian personally thanked the Pension Advocates, WSOs, Sub-Branch bus and car drivers and the Sub-Branch committee for their hard work and dedication throughout the year.
The luncheon was held on “The Deck” at the Hervey Bay RSL & Services Memorial Club on Wednesday 11 January 2023.
