Humanists of Dallas County , Missouri Good Without a God A group informed by science, inspired by art, and motivated by compassion. We create space for ethical rationalists to gather, learn, and celebrate.
We are a newly-forming group of Humanists, rationalists, non-believers, skeptics, agnostics, and atheists. We seek to build a local community to experience the community, ritual, celebration, and togetherness of faith—without any dogma, creed, or supernatural beliefs. We also seek to organize events where people of any or no faith come together to do good in Dallas County.
Our godless congregation is a consciously designed community based on shared Humanist values . While the supernatural, dogmatic, and authoritarian nature of traditional religious congregations may be problematic, there is a lot of good to be preserved. Congregating regularly helps a community make and keep friends, align around shared values, teach and learn from each other, and experience profound emotions together.
