The Hopkins Hill Fire District Board of Directors has the overall responsibility for the operation of Hopkins Hill Fire Department. The board exercises that responsibility through the Chief of the department. The Chief is appointed by the District Board. Fire Department Officers are appointed by the Chief, subject to the approval of the Board of Directors.
The Chief operates the department much as the CEO of any organization would. He is responsible for the entire operation including budgeting and spending. Hopkins Hill Fire Department’s budget is presented in the Facts & Figures section of this web site.
