It’s a beautiful old villa in the center of ferrara . The workers are friendly and it’s cheap. There are many huge bathrooms. I have no idea what that complaint is about. I’ve never seen so many handicapped unisex bathrooms in one building It began as a communist family run place to help refugees in transitional housing. This may be why people complain there are so many OLD men. They aren’t old. They just seem old to someone who is a teenager. They have young families nearby and are looking for a new life.
Only one night in hostel Estense in Ferrara was enough to get impression of relaxed atmosphere in city and of local people. Thanks to cool manners of friendly Alessandro and his team, our (too) short stay in this fascinating city was superb! In the early morning they served really good coffee and cappuccino with a typical “Italian” breakfast, good enough as well. He didn’t mind to drive our bus drivers to the parking lot and back to hostel even in the early morning, or to bring to gas station a forgotten wa
