Howard\u2019s Heart is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing individual, needs-based support to teens in foster care. We began as a backpack drive in 2014, and since then our giving community has grown from 45 people to more than 400. Now we\u2019re working to expand our efforts from backpack and holiday gift drives to providing year-round support to foster teens based on their specific needs; everything from graphing calculators and musical instruments to tutoring and college prep courses.
It's National Foster Care Month! We are so excited to bring you some amazing information this month, including hearing from teens who are in care, learning about why the foster system is set up the way it is, and hearing how you can support!
