Illegal Unreported & Unregulated (IUU) fishing takes place where vessels operate in violation of the laws which apply either to areas under the jurisdiction of a coastal state or to high seas regulated by regional organisations. The IAMSP has finished working on a whitepaper regarding the worldwide activities of IUU fishing to present to the applicable port states and responsible parties / authorities.
Due to the growing threats to critical infrastructure in the Oil and Gas industry stemming from international terrorism and piracy, both companies and governments have an increased concern for the safety of energy infrastructure.
The IAMSP is working closely with both corporate and government entities on this domain, investigating how best to standardise the security practices for the industry.
