Rachel is an international leading practitioner in strategic design with 20 years experience in innovating new digital services for organizations such as Microsoft, Vodafone and Transport for London. Rachel led the development of energy services for organisations such as Hitachi, Bulb, Bristol Energy and Upside Energy, exploring smart systems and flexible services in local energy, domestic heating and EVs. Rachel led Hitachis Co-creation Centre in Europe and was responsible for engaging C-level executives
Before this, Rachel carried out digital intervention programs in healthcare, for diseases such as cancer and diabetes. At Hitachi, Rachel initiated and led a lifestyle behaviour change platform for tackling obesity and was involved in the re-design of the NHS breast screening program. Rachel has a PhD in Human-Centred Design.
