Description: Anderson Park Art Gallery is housed in a Georgian style home, situated at 91 McIvor Road, off State Highway 6, approximately 7km north of Invercargill city centre, Southland. The gallery was established in 1951 and has an extensive collection of New Zealand art ranging from early to contemporary works.

Invercargill Public Art Gallery (formally Anderson Park Art Gallery) is responsible for the care, collection and curation of Invercargill’s public art collection. The gallery has built a comprehensive collection of visual and applied arts that includes early European through to contemporary New Zealand art, with a strong representation of local artists and artworks relating to Southland.
IPAG is currently based at He Waka Tuia Art + Museum, a transitional art + museum space in collaboration with the Southland Museum and Art Gallery.
