Only the outside walls of this old granite building could be retained when the Coach House was converted into a self catering cottage. Now, fully insulated against the elements and centrally heated, the Coach House offers the best of modern living in a truly traditional building. Situated in the spacious grounds and gardens of Ardfenaig House, the Coach House looks out onto a pond and across Loch Caol to Bunessan village and the mountains of Glen More. Inside, a large vestibule opens into the spacious open plan downstairs. A comfortable living area with SKY television, a DVD player and a large picture window occupies one end whilst the dining area, kitchen, and shower room occupy the other. Upstairs are two twin bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and enough room to easily accommodate a comfortable folding bed. All bed, bath, and table linen are provided.
This is such an idyllic place for a holiday that you may be reluctant to tour the rest of Mull and lona. However, from the entrance drive to the main road a left turn will take you to Bunessan with its shops, pub, and restaurant. Beyond the village is the whole of Mull to explore with numerous walks over moor and mountain, through fields of wildflowers, and to high cliff's overlooking solitary beaches. Or drive through friendly villages, tour castles, discover standing stones and stone circles, and walk the
