ISOMA was established in 1983 with the original company emphasis being in the field of process engineering and stainless steel fabrication, working mainly for the local Dairy and Brewing industries.
Towards the end of the 1980’s we were offered the opportunity by a number of Dairy customers to expand our capabilities into conveyors, initially working on small changes and modifications to existing production lines, but gradually gaining greater knowledge and insight into the design and manufacture of conveyor systems in general.
The early 1990’s saw the rapid advent of the HDPE plastic ‘Poly Bottle’ into the UK Dairy industry as the container of choice for the supply of liquid milk, and also saw ISOMA launch a suite of newly developed bottle ‘De-bagging’ machines, bottle Elevators, De-elevators and conveyor systems which were designed specifically for the handling, and transportation of these new lightweight, and easily damaged containers.
