The International Young Musicians Academy (IYMA) believes in a holistic approach to music education that brings together the best pedagogical practices of East and West to provide opportunities for young musicians to develop and improve in all aspects of their musical education.
Our staff believe that young musicians can only truly excel with an understanding of theory, harmony and history that will enhance the necessary technical accomplishment and enable them to become fully rounded musicians.
IYMA tutors are drawn from leading musical institutions including the Royal Northern College of Music, Royal Academy of Music, Royal College of Music, Chetham’s School of Music and the Yehudi Menuhin School as well as leading independent schools such as Rugby School, Lancing College, Highgate School, Stowe School and Christs’ Hospital. Many of our staff are also trained ABRSM examiners.
