WELCOME! This photo is of Puerto Chico, one of the public marinas in Santander, Spain, where I live with my wife and collaborator, Ann. We came here in 2021 after nine years in Córdoba, five years in Scotland, six years in Sierra Leone, and six years in Mexico. We have been blessed to experience different cultures, different languages, and different religions, all for the best of causes, Christian missions.
Santander is a port city, with about 173,000 population, in the far north of Spain, and is the capital of the autonomous community of Cantabria. The Bay of Santander is a perfect natural harbor and as such, has been of great importance in Spanish history and commerce. The city’s recorded history goes back to Roman times and today is a popular tourist destination, with ferry services to and from the United Kingdom and Ireland.
