It is a great privilege for us – residents of Mill Basin and adjacent neighborhoods from Bergen Beach and Georgetown to Canarsie and Starrett City – to be building our local Chabad House with the same design as the world’s central Chabad House, 770. As a Chabad House, it will not be just another synagogue or pre-school. It will be a community center with Hachnasat Orchim, guests hospitality, serving the needs of all Jewish residents of Mill Basin and the surrounding area. It will be open to all, a warm, loving home for every Jew. From here will shine forth to the entire area the light of the Torah and Chassidic warmth, permeated with the light of Moshiach – until the imminent true and total Redemption, when we will be privileged to witness the building
