Joshua Evan (he/him) tells stories through the mediums of photography, video, and sound. These are stories which we all share, regardless of geographic location, background, age, gender or sexual identity: memory, love, discovery, loss, fear, and loneliness. They are stories of navigating a world that at times we can barely understand. A world in which we can sometimes feel like an alien.
Joshua was born in Sydney, Australia and lives in London, United Kingdom. He holds an MFA in Fine Art from University of the Arts, London. He embraces experimentation in his art practice and actively breaks rules. Happenstance and “happy accidents” play an important role in his works, as does collaboration with other artists.
His works have been showcased in venues worldwide, from seedy bars to church crypts, disused garages to public displays on building facades, shop windows, art house cinemas, film festivals, galleries, and even television broadcasts.
