Painting (verb) - Creating something out of nothing. See also: alchemy, transformation, illumination, magic, joy, the good stuff. Julia started creating representational art in 2019. She gravitated toward painting from life whether it be the human figure, portraiture, or plein air landscapes. She finds the magic is in the delicate dance between her direct observation and the visual representation she creates on the painted surface.
