Spirited and thought-provoking songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, KATYA, released her debut single, ‘I’ll Take Your Number’ , on Friday 23rd June – the day before her performance on the Acoustic Stage at Glastonbury Festival .
‘I’ll Take Your Number’ was written, recorded and produced by KATYA. This lead track off her upcoming EP features trumpet by Jackson Mathod and was mixed by Grammy-award winning ‘ Spike’ Stent after a chance encounter led to him offering to mix it – an entertaining story! An unreleased early version of ‘I’ll Take Your Number’ caught the ears of BBC Radio London presenter Jess Iszatt during the Live Lounge Introducing Competition , leading to airplay on her show and subsequent exposure on Jack Saunders' Futu
KATYA has a busy year ahead, including multiple upcoming releases and performances at seven festivals: the Acoustic Stage at Glastonbury, the Main Stage at Truck Festival, Kendal Calling, Secret Garden Party, Victorious Festival, Rock Oyster, and Spring Classic.
