Missouri NEA files initiative petition to block new scholarship program, take power away from local school boards.
On August 25, 2021, Missouri NEA member Sherri Talbot submitted an Initiative Petition ( 2022-057 ) on behalf of Taxpayers for Accountability. Taxpayers for Accountability also has a campaign finance committee with Sherri Talbott as the treasurer.
As reported in the Missouri Independent , Talbott has also sued Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft to overturn his Ballot Title for the initiative petition. The initiative petition has been certified to start collecting signatures.
