Maybe I’m naive but I thought they were the same thing. Or is the songwriter the composer of the song and the lyricist just comes up with the lyrics? That, I’d understand. Help me understand! Comments:
I’m a freelance songwriter and I’m looking for some artists to write for. I want to be able to gain enough credibility to where big names will be asking me to write songs for them (EX. Mariah Carey, Tyga, Drake, etc.). The problem is that I don’t know how to promote myself as a songwriter and really get more recognition to where major artists ask me to write their songs.
